Celonis MCP Server in Microsoft Copilot Studio

This topic walks you through integrating your Celonis MCP Server with Microsoft Copilot Studio. This integration enables your AI agents to leverage your Celonis tools and capabilities from Microsoft Copilot Studio.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

Step 1: Configure OAuth Client in the Celonis Platform

\n

Create an OAuth client in your Celonis Platform with the following configuration:

Your configuration should look like this:

  1. \nClick the \nDefine Scopes\n button. \n
    2. \n
  2. \nScroll down to the \nmcp\n group and expand it. \n
    3. \n
  3. \nThen select the \nmcp-asset.tools:execute\n option and click \nCreate\n.\n

  4. \nIn the Client Credentials window, use the \nCopy to clipboard\n buttons to save your Client ID and Client Secret as you'll need them in \nStep 3\n.\n

    • \nTeam and Realm\n: Your Celonis instance details. Example: \ntest.eu-1\n from \nhttps://**test.eu-1**.celonis.cloud\n \n

    • \nClient ID\n: The OAuth Client ID from \nStep 1\n. \n

    • \nClient Secret\n: The OAuth Client Secret from \nStep 1\n.\n

    Click Create. Once the connection is established, click Add and Configure.

    Step 4: View Available Tools

    \n

    Once the connection is successfully configured, you'll see all the tools available from your MCP Server asset:

    1. \nSend your first message to the agent to trigger the connection. \n

    2. \nClick the link in the agent’s response to navigate to the Connection Manager.\n
